Christopher Columbus Essay
Christopher Columbus has been honored in a huge number of ways across North and South America. He has streets named in his respect, towns, structures and even Americaââ¬â¢s capital! Is Columbus really meriting these admirations however? All things considered, he did find the land that we occupy today so how might anyone have any issues with this voyagerââ¬â¢s tries? Innumerable individuals miss the reality however that there were at that point people involving what we know as North America today. Various individuals were encouraged from the get-go the entirety of the achievements Columbus made, yet ignore the full truth of this commended man. The inquiry at that point comes to be ââ¬Å"Who is Christopher Columbus?â⬠Is he genuinely the person that numerous Americans title a legend? The man whose campaign was the foremost stage in a broad course that inevitably made the United States? Or on the other hand, is Columbus the imperfect character that many have proposed. In the pre-winter of 1451, the spouse of a fleece weaver in Genoa brought forth a kid who was bound to change the course of history. ââ¬Å"Columbus is accepted to have been conceived somewhere close to August 26th and October 31. He was the oldest child of Domenico Colombo, a Genoese fleece specialist and dealer, and Susanna Fontanarossa, his better half, and was brought up in their Christian household.â⬠(Christopher Columbus, Britannica) Columbus was charged by the lord and sovereign of Spain to discover a course to the Indies. Be that as it may, he cruised the other way of his proposed objective by intersection the Atlantic and arriving in the Americas, bringing about the disclosure of the New World for Spain. This revelation was a significant point in European history, however world history. From this, Christopher Columbus picked up status as to some degree a saint to his kin during perhaps the darkest time in Europeââ¬â¢s history. He lived during when Europe was in extraordinary strife brought about by illness, starvation, and strict mistreatment. It was likewise the start of a period when finding an immediate exchange course to the Indies was significant. The confusion behind the objective of Columbusââ¬â¢ journeys is that he was not out to accomplish riches alone, yet to start the last development of the Gospel that would get the finish of time. Columbus had confidence in the Bible and that it was his obli gation to spread Christianity to the Indians. Until as of late, every schoolchild was trained that Christopher Columbus found the New World. Columbus was delineated as a daring and decided mariner who without any assistance persuaded Queen Isabella of Spain to support his journey. In history books, Columbus was depicted as a genuine saint; a man who made it feasible for many European workers to begin new in another land. Presently, this picture of Christopher Columbus is being tested. Numerous students of history and others guarantee that Columbus didn't ââ¬Å"discoverâ⬠anything. Before he showed up, the New World previously had been found by others, Leif Ericksson among them. Also, the New World was at that point populated by more than 500 Native American clans. To call Columbusââ¬â¢s journey a ââ¬Å"discoveryâ⬠would resemble taking a hundred people, arriving in Italy, and saying that these individuals found Italy. Christopher Columbus may have ââ¬Å"encounteredâ⬠or ââ¬Å"collided withâ⬠the New World, yet he didn't ââ¬Å"discoverâ⬠it. Numerous students of history contend however that whether Columbusââ¬â¢s journeys are known as a revelation, an experience, or a crash doesn't make a difference. Nobody can deny that Columbus made Europe mindful of the New World, and that this mindfulness had an incredible effect. It was Columbus who began this new mindfulness. It is Columbus who ought to be credited with it. They accept that observing Columbusââ¬â¢s journeys is to praise the start of the new world as we probably am aware it today. Abortion Essay - 910 Words
Abortion Abortion is one of the most controversial issues of our day. People generally have strong views about abortion. It is an issue about life and death. Abortion draws out two different worldviews. The human world view, which says, You do whatever you want. Its your own choice not anyone else. In addition, the religious world, which I believe, says, ?God forbids us to murder, and knows that it?s a mortal sin.? I believe that the real reason that we see so many people wanting the availability of abortion goes even deeper than the issue of abortion: I believe that people want sexual freedom without consequences. Our culture has a definite agenda supporting any and all sexual expression. It is very hard to find a newâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Given the sexually charged atmosphere in which we live, it is not surprising that so many people are having sex outside of marriage and getting pregnant. Abortion is treated like an eraser; people see it as a way to try to get rid of the consequences that happens after sexual activity. Of course, there are always exceptions. Pregnancies do occur as a result of rape. Some women get pregnant because of someone elses sexual drive. However, does that make it right to kill the baby that has been conceived? After having an abortion, many women feel a sense of relief at having avoided the stress and responsibility of pregnancy and a baby. On the other hand, abortions eventually cause serious emotional damage in millions of women. The death of a child is, I believe, one of the biggest things a person can experience in life. Depending on how stressed a woman is, PAS, post abortion syndrome, can show up within weeks or months after a abortion, or she can have a delayed reaction to it, some times up to seven or eight years later. Women experiencing post-abortion syndrome generally feel a confusing and overwhelming sense of guilt. One study reported that 92 percent of women who have had an abortion feel guilt. For many women, the guilt and shame is expressed through a deep anger which is showed towards the doctors and abortion counselors for hurting her and her baby. President Carter s Leadership Style - 2173 Words
Leadership: Jimmy Carter, The President President Carter, while in office, was seen as perfectionist and always looking to find something wrong with a project. He possessed deep mistrust for career politicians and believed that only an outsider, like he was, would be a good moral leader. In assessing his leadership style, President Carter would fit into the directive style as explained by Van Wart. A directive style leadership ââ¬Å"is exhibited when a leader lets subordinates know what they are expected to do, gives direction and guidance, asks subordinates to follow rules and procedures, and schedules and coordinate activitiesâ⬠(Van Wart, 2012, pg.37). This description might not fit someone as powerful as the President of the United States, but the case of Jimmy Carter is different. He held a firm grasp on all the activities that went on around him. Carter inherited a very troublesome office; the Cold War was at its peak, energy crises were getting worse, and economic infla tion did not help the newly sworn in president either. He believed that lifetime Washington politicians were deeply imbedded with corporations and organizations that put them there, thus he resorted to an ââ¬Å"autocratic decision makingâ⬠(Vroom and Jago, 1988) type of leadership. When time came to select his cabinet and appoint position he ââ¬Å"ignored major interest groups that make up the Democratic Party ââ¬â blue collar labor unions, city leaders, and white ethnic groupsâ⬠(Haas, 1992, p. 51). Oil In April 2000 Essays - Petroleum Politics, Commodity Markets
Oil In April 2000 W A S H I N G T O N, April 6 ? The good news for consumers is gas prices are anticipated to drop this summer. But the bad news is the decline will be slow. With an increase in international oil production as a backdrop, the Energy Department today dramatically revised its forecast for summer gasoline prices. The agency said prices should peak later this month and begin dropping sometime in May, averaging about $1.46 a gallon throughout the summer. Even Cheaper Fall Prices And there's even more good news: Gasoline prices may dip lower still by fall, according to the agency. Prices may fall to a national average of $1.39 after Labor Day, the department's Energy Information Administration said in its revised short-term forecast. ?By then I expect we will have started to see some economic growth deterioration and I think from there we probably will see demand start to come under some pressure,? said Peter Beutel, president of Cameron Hanover, an energy risk management firm in Connecticut. ?So, I think we probably will see prices closer to $1.30 or maybe even $1.25.? What Happened to the $2 Estimate? Just a month ago, the Energy Department said even with increased oil production, gasoline prices were expected to soar to a national average of as much as $1.80 a gallon and likely reach $2 a gallon in some places by July. So what's changed between now and then? A key international oil meeting in Vienna, Austria. The EIA in its latest forecast assumed additional oil would begin hitting the U.S. market by June as a result of a decision March 28 by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. OPEC agreed to boost production by as much as 1.7 million barrels a day. Other non-OPEC producers also have said they would increase production. And production increases mean refilled petroleum stocks and lower prices for oil products including gasoline. ?We are more optimistic today. Some of the tightening of the market has improved,? said EIA Administrator Jay Hakes. Nationally, the average cost of regular grade gasoline was $1.52 a gallon in March, with the average for all grades, including premium, a nickel higher, the agency said. Revisions Still 25 Percent Higher But don't get too excited just yet. The agency's latest revision is still 25 percent higher than summer prices a year ago. The average motorist is expected to pay about $170 more for gasoline this summer than last, according to the EIA. Additionally, according to the new forecast, gasoline stocks are likely to remain at the lower end of the normal range through the summer. Worries about stocks aside, the latest gas price revision is good news for the Clinton administration that has been fretting over the prospects of gasoline prices soaring to $2 a gallon this summer and additional potential shortages. But Energy Secretary Bill Richardson has said repeatedly that with the additional oil production from OPEC and other producers, prices should gradually recede. Strong Summer Demand for Gas The department's latest price forecast also assumes no refining problems with refineries running at nearly 97 percent capacity through the summer. If there are refinery shutdowns, prices would spike higher, the agency said. And although summer gasoline prices will be 25 percent higher than last year, demand is expected to remain strong, exceeding summer demand a year ago. The agency predicts refiners should have no trouble meeting the increase, barring any major refinery shutdowns. The report also predicted that crude oil prices will continue to drop for the remainder of the year, assuming continued increases in world production. Social Issues

History of the 1948 Olympic Games in London
History of the 1948 Olympic Games in London Since the Olympic Games had not been held in either 1940 or 1944 because of World War II, there was much debate as to whether or not to hold the 1948 Olympic Games at all. Ultimately, the 1948 Olympic Games (also known as the XIV Olympiad) were held, with a few post-war modifications, from July 28 to August 14, 1948. These Austerity Games turned out to be very popular and a great success.à Fast Facts Official Who Opened the Games:à British King George VIPerson Who Lit the Olympic Flame:à British runnerà John MarkNumber of Athletes:à 4,104 (390 women, 3,714 men)Number of Countries:à 59 countriesNumber of Events:à 136 Post-War Modifications When it was announced thatà the Olympic Games would be resumed, many debated whether it was wise to have a festival when many European countries were in ruins and the people near starvation. To limit the United Kingdoms responsibility to feed all the athletes, it was agreed that the participants would bring their own food. Surplus food was donated to British hospitals. No new facilities were built for these Games, but the Wembley Stadium had survived the war and proved adequate. No Olympic Village was erected; the male athletes were housed at an army camp in Uxbridge and the women housed at Southlands College in dormitories. Missing Countries Germany and Japan, the aggressors of World War II, were not invited to participate. The Soviet Union, although invited, also did not attend. Two New Items The 1948 Olympics saw the introduction of blocks, which are used to help start runners in sprint races. Also new was the very first, Olympic, indoor pool Empire Pool. Amazing Stories Badmouthed because of her older age (she was 30) and because she was a mother (of two young children), Dutch sprinter Fanny Blankers-Koen was determined to win a gold medal. She had participated in the 1936 Olympics, but the cancellation of the 1940 and 1944 Olympics meant that she had to wait 12 more years to get another shot at winning.à Blankers-Koen, often called the Flying Housewife or the Flying Dutchman, showed them all when she took homeà fourà gold medals, the first woman to do so. On the other side of the age-spectrum was 17-year-old Bob Mathias. When his high school coach had suggested he try out for the Olympics in the decathlon, Mathias didnt even know what that event was. Four months after starting training for it, Mathias won gold at the 1948 Olympics, becoming the youngest person to win a mens athletics event. (As of 2015, Mathias still holds that title.) One Major Snafu There was one major snafu at the Games. Though the United States had won the 400-meter relay by a full 18 feet, a judge ruled that one of the U.S. team members had passed the baton outside of the passing zone. Thus, the U.S. team was disqualified. The medals were handed out, the national anthems were played. The United States officially protested the ruling and after careful review of the films and photographs taken of the baton pass, the judges decided that the pass had been completely legal; thus the United States team was the real winner. The British team had to give up their gold medals and received silver medals (which had been given up by the Italian team). The Italian team then received the bronze medals which had been given up by the Hungarian team.

Profile of Richard Speck, Serial Killer
Profile of Richard Speck, Serial Killer The words Born to Raise Hell were tattooed on the arm of the tall, pocked-faced man with a southern drawl who entered a nursing students dormitory on a warm July night in 1966. Once inside he committed a series of crimes that shocked America and sent Chicago authorities on a massive manhunt for a madman who they soon identified as Richard Speck. This is a profile of the man, his life, and his crimes, both during his life and after his death. Childhood Years Speck was born December 6, 1941, in Kirkwood, Illinois. When he was six, his father died. His mother remarried, and the family moved to Dallas, TX. Before marrying her new husband, she raised the family under strict religious rules including the abstinence of alcohol. After her marriage, her attitude changed. Her new husband had violent drunken episodes, often making young Richard the victim of his abuse. Speck grew up to become a poor student and juvenile delinquent prone to violent behavior. Spousal Rape and Abuse At age 20, Speck married 15-year-old Shirley Malone and fathered a child. Specks violent nature extended into the marriage and he regularly abused his wife and her mother. The abuse included spousal rape at knifepoint, often several times a day. He worked as a part-time garbage man and petty thief but his criminal activity escalated, and in 1965 he held a woman at knifepoint and attempted to rob her. He was caught and sentenced to jail for 15 months. By 1966 his marriage was over. A Walking Time Bomb After prison Speck moved to his sisters home in Chicago to avoid being questioned by authorities for various crimes in which he was suspected of being involved. He tried to find work as a merchant seaman but spent most of his time hanging in bars drinking and bragging about past crimes. He moved in and out of sisters home, opting to rent rooms in sleazy hotels when possible. Speck, tall and unattractive, was a drug addict, alcoholic, and jobless, with a violent streak waiting to be unleashed. Speck Meets the Chicago Police Department On April 13, 1966, Mary Kay Pierce was found dead behind the bar where she worked. Speck was questioned by police about the murder but feigned illness, on promising to return to answer questions on April 19. When he didnt show, the police went to the Christy Hotel where he was living. Speck was gone, but police searched his room and found items from local burglaries including jewelry belonging to 65-year-old Mrs. Virgil Harris, who had been held at knifepoint, robbed, and raped that same month.ââ¬â¹ On the Run Speck, on the run, tried to get work on a barge and was registered at the National Maritime Union Hall. Directly across the street from the union hall was student housing for nursing students working at the South Chicago Community Hospital. On the evening of July 13, 1966, Speck had several drinks at a bar under the rooming house where he was staying. Around 10:30 p.m. he walked the 30-minute walk to the nurses townhouse, entered through a screen door and rounded up the nurses inside. The Crime At first, Speck reassured the young women that all he wanted was money. Then with a gun and a knife, he scared the girls into submission and got them all into one bedroom. He cut strips of bed sheets and bound each of them and began removing one after another to other parts of the townhouse where he murdered them. Two nurses were murdered as they returned home and walked into the mayhem. The girls waiting their turn to die tried to hide under beds but Speck found them all but one. The Victims Pamela Wilkening - Gagged, stabbed through the heart.Gloria Davy - Raped, sexually brutalized, strangled.Suzanne Farris - Stabbed 18 times and strangled.Mary Ann Jordan - Stabbed in the chest, neck, and eye.Nina Schmale - Stabbed in her neck and suffocated.Patricia Matusek - punched resulting in a ruptured liver and strangled.Valentina Paison - Her throat was cut.Merlita Gargullo - Stabbed and strangled. The One Who Survived Corazon Amurao slid under the bed and pushed herself tight against the wall. She heard Speck return to the room. Paralyzed with fear she heard him rape Gloria Davy on the bed above. He then left the room, and Cora knew she was next. She waited hours, fearing his return at any moment. The house was silent. Finally, in the early morning, she pulled herself from underneath the bed and climbed out the window, where she huddled in fear, crying until help came. The Investigation Cora Amurao provided investigators with a description of the killer. They knew he was tall, maybe six feet in height, blond, and had a deep southern accent. Specks appearance and unique accent made it difficult for him to blend into a Chicago crowd. People who encountered him remembered him. This assisted investigators to eventually capturing him. Speck Attempts Suicide Speck found a low-rent hotel that had cell-like rooms for the patrons who were mostly drunks, drug addicts, or insane. When he discovered police knew his identity ââ¬â his face and name appeared across the front page of the newspapers ââ¬â he decided to take his life by cutting his wrists and inner elbow with jagged glass. He was found and taken to the hospital. It was there that first-year-resident, Leroy Smith, recognized Speck and called the police. The End of Richard Speck Cora Amurao, dressed as a nurse, entered Specks hospital room and identified him to police as the killer. He was arrested and stood trial for murdering the eight nurses. Speck was found guilty and sentenced to death. The Supreme Court ruled against capital punishment, and his sentence was changed to 50 to 100 years in prison. Speck Dies Speck, age 49, died from a heart attack in prison on December 5, 1991. When he died, he was fat, bloated, with ash-white pockmarked skin and hormone-injected breasts. No family members claimed his remains; he was cremated, and his ashes were thrown in an undisclosed place. Beyond the Grave In May 1996, a videotape sent to news anchor Bill Curtis showed Speck with female-like breasts having sex with a fellow prisoner. He could be seen doing what appeared to be cocaine, and in an interview-like discussion, he answered questions about the murders of the nurses. Speck said he felt nothing about murdering them and that it was just not their night. His old bragging habits returned as he described prison life and added, If they only knew how much fun I was having, theyd turn me loose. Source:The Crime of the Century by Dennis L. Corporate Communication - Essay Example As these different workers would try to impose their own attitudes and culture on the organisation as well as fellow employees, it could lead a different, uncommon and complex organisational culture, negatively impacting the organisationââ¬â¢s performance. Thus, for organisation to succeed, all its employees have to work in unison without any differences and for that a common, clear and workable organisational culture need to be implemented in the organisation. To implement a common organisational culture, organisations can even go for a organisational change. That is, as it will be difficult to force common organisational only in some segments of the organisation, it would be better, if the organisation goes for organizational change. When the organization does not perform up to expected levels due to culture issues and in other cases wanted to expand or diversify its operations, the management method has to be changed. This is where the concept of organizational change comes into the picture. That is, organizational change constitutes the structured changing or transitioning of employees, departments and the organizations as a whole from a current state to a favourable or desired future state. So, here the main need or necessity for an organisation to change is to implement a common organisational culture, thereby maximize the collective advantages or benefits for all the employees, managers and leaders working for the organization, and thereby maximize the profit and standing of the organization. So, this paper as part of literature review will discuss how implementing a common organisational culture will lead to organizational change and how leaders and managers had to be aware and importantly control these ch anges by case studying Starbucks. Murder Trial and Murder Case Study Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1750 words
Murder Trial and Murder - Case Study Example The Circumstantial evidence that could be deduced was that of Massachusetts State Police chemist Deanna Dygan who in her testimony in the superior court held up the floral underpants of the Rachel stated that blood samples and sperm cells were found in the crotch area. However seminal fluid could not be tested positive. Further, the shirt of Rachel which was covered with blood was found to have sperm cells and three holes out of which two had tested positive to lead which is present due to a gunshot. Finally, it was found that the death of the infant had been caused due to a contact shot. The circumstantial evidence which had been put forward by Dylan was said to be inconclusive and thus was of not much help. The objectivity of the investigation was put into question by the lawyer of Elliot Weinstein who put in the relevant evidence that is if prior to or during the investigation Dylan had put in Entwistleââ¬â¢s name in the suspect box on crime scene sheet. Dylan stated in the affirmative on which Elliot stated that this had affected the investigation procedure. Further, he argued that the bullet wound had not been found at the crime scene and had been found during the autopsy, a vital element not noticed during the investigation of the crime scene. Finally when Weinstein asked if the bullet trajectory had been carried out which was answered in the negative by Dylan. The relevant evidence which had been established in the specific case led to the establishment of the fact that Dylan had been led to believe that Neil Entwistle the possible suspect was the culprit. and so a biased opinion had been possibly established by the chemist. The direct evidence that was provided was that by Drugan, the senior chemist in the state police crime lab's arson and explosives unit who stated that the residue of gun primer was found only on the hands of Rachel. He went on to say that quite a few items of the BMW had been tested at the airport and it was deduced that neither the steering wheel, keys and a shirt had all been found to be negative when the tests for the gun primer had been carried out. Further eleven knives had been tested for the knife block but all came negative. The direct evidence that had been provided for by Drugan was in itself a bit inconclusive which led to a stronger case being established for the possible suspect. Further the items that had been tested had strengthened the case of the husband of Rachel. The testimonial evidence was provided by Trooper Stephen Walsh who is a member of the fire arms identification unit. He provided that he had tested a bullet which had been removed from the body of the victim Rachel's chest and had further removed two fragments of bullets.

LVMH strategic analysis :: essays research papers
Challenge statement: ââ¬Å"Despite worldwide softness in the sale of luxury goods, LVMH has cemented its position as the worldââ¬â¢s largest and most profitable player in the category. To stay there it must keep its customers loyal and its brand strong and find new markets worldwideâ⬠(Hazlett C. 2004). That is why in its mission they state to represent the most refined qualities of Western ââ¬Å" art de vivreâ⬠all around the world. Their objective is to be the leader in the luxury market, continuing to transmit elegance and creativity. This poses some major challenges, the main one is to keep being the leader in the luxury market through a sustainable growth. The main problem to achieve it is the high dependency on three main countries, France, Japan and USA. This becomes a threat because if there is an economic downturn in one country it affects LVMH directly that is why. ANALYSIS Financial analysis. LVMH founds itself in a stable financial situation. Being positioned as the market leader they have better financial results than the rest of the competitors. Although the sales results for 2004 were under the industryââ¬â¢s average the overall performance over the last 5 years was 3% higher then the industry. It is important to note that the major owner of the companyââ¬â¢s capital is present CEO Bernard Arnault with 47.52% of the control of the company with 64% of voting rights. This may have an Important impact in the overall performance and operating decision taken in the company. Marketing system After a 4 P analysis of the company one found that it found itself in a luxury market where product quality and constant innovation are key points for the success. That is why the production process and its design can take even months. Product line is extensive however it is only conformed of high priced products. Price in this case is a guarantee of the quality present in the product. Moreover, high pricing represent an element of differentiation that the customer appreciates. However this is not a setback, LVMH has managed to have world wide presence and success. To accomplish it its selective retailing division is of high importance. Nevertheless, promotion posses the major challenge since its through this that the image of the product its transmitted that is why the company poses a major part of its budget in this section. It is Important to note that the percentage allocated is higher than those of most competitors.

A Rose for Emily Summary
Faulkner beautifully illustrates the morbid parallelism between Emilyââ¬â¢s father and the house that imprisoned her. Both were controlled and manipulated by the very being that would eventually destroy them. Faulkner strategically places the home of the Griersonââ¬â¢s, on what was once consider a prestigious street in the crumbling, overcrowded town of Jefferson. Here, both monuments of the past are forced to maintain a dignified facade of sanity among an ever-changing society. There are two interpretations to be made in understanding the motive and meaning behind Emily murdering Homer Barron, in ââ¬Å"A Rose for Emilyâ⬠. The first motive deals with the personal revenge Emily seeks towards her father, the second being towards the town of Jefferson who scrutinized her and critically analyzed everything she did. The death of Emilyââ¬â¢s father set in motion a diabolically evil scheme to seek the ultimate revenge on the patriarchal society of Jefferson, which controlled and ultimately claimed her sanity. Her revenge began with her father whom she hated for denying her the privilege of having a normal and successful womanââ¬â¢s life. Emilyââ¬â¢s hatred began to fester within the depths of her soul as a young child, dominated by a father who concluded that no male figure was good enough to inherit the status of courting or marrying a Grierson. Emily became emotionally tormented by the very thought of being a spinster and having no other male figure to love, besides her controlling father. The growing resentment continued as she became older and perspective suitorââ¬â¢s appeared at the front door, ultimately to be chased away with a horsewhip. Although the violence is apparently outward-the upraised horsewhip against the would be suitor- the real object of it is the woman-daughter, forced into the background and dominated by the phallic figure of the spraddled father whose back is turned on her and who prevents her from getting out at the same time that he prevents them, suitors, from getting in. â⬠(560). Emily was a caged animal, imprisoned by her controlling father, in a circus whose master manipulate s all of the animalsââ¬â¢ movements, emotions, and physical appearance by a carefully illustrated system of rewards and punishments. Emilyââ¬â¢sââ¬â¢ rewards, according to her father, was that she be portrayed to the towns people as ââ¬Å"a slender figure in whiteâ⬠too pure for the stains of any human being to corrupt what he, the father, masterfully created. Emilyââ¬â¢s punishment was that she would eventually be revered as an untouchable figure whoââ¬â¢s every action or movement would be analyzed by the town of Jefferson. It wasnââ¬â¢t until that fateful day, the death of her father, when Emily was finally able to outwardly express her revenge upon the very first male who suppressed her emotionally and physically, by not giving him the proper burial a Grierson deserved. Instead, she was able to experience, first hand, the feeling of triumph over watching her so-called beloved father rot before her very eyes, the sweet revenge of a twisted character. Emily cleverly denied to the townââ¬â¢s people that her father died in order to secretly express her future intention of revenge towards the town of Jefferson by not letting them, the residents, immediately dispose of his decrypted and decaying body. ââ¬Å"She told them that her father was not dead. She did that for three days, with the minister calling on her, and the doctors, trying to persuade her to let them dispose of the body. Just as they were about to resort to law and force, she broke down, and they buried her father quickly. â⬠(27). ââ¬Å"Because she is Miss Emily Grierson, the town invests her with that communal significance which makes her the object of their obsession and subject of their incessant scrutinyâ⬠¦ the town is able to impose a particular code of behavior and to see her in failure to live up to that code an excuse for interfering in her life. (560). The result of the towns interfering adds fuel to her fire to seek the revenge for interfering in her life and being so critical of every movement that she makes. The most significant diabolically evil plan Emily sought was the revenge on the patriarchy society of Jefferson, which no one would be able to comprehend the magnitude of the murder of Homer Barron. After the death of her father, the townsme n felt pity for her and claimed that leaving her the decrypted; decaying housing structure was a way of knocking her off the pedestal and becoming more humanized. The patriarchal society outwardly expressed their need to watch over and care for the lonely spinster who they concluded incapable of providing for her financially. Colonel Satoris, the eldest patriarch of Jefferson, fabricated a story to justify why the town remitted her taxes, claiming that it was from a financial loan her father provided for the town many years ago. The motive for the murder of Homer Barron was for Emily, on her deathbed, to gain the last laugh at a town that scrutinized and critiqued her yet never came to understand why she acted and lived as she did. Another motive for the murder of Homer Barron was to prove to the patriarchal society of Jefferson that even though she, Emily, could not ââ¬Å"persuade him to marry herâ⬠(535). Due to his perversions, she may still succeed in controlling Homer if her were dead. No one would be able to take that secret love she had for Homer away even though he would never reciprocate it the same way because of his alternative lifestyle. Homo Homer was an embarrassment to Emily, because for the first time ever she was free love someone, and he turned out to love young men more than women. This humanizes Emily even more and in turn it helps explode the decades of manipulation and control she receives at the hands of her father. She had a perfect plan; no one in the town of Jefferson would ever believe that Emily, being a real lady ââ¬Å"to forget noblesse obligeââ¬âwithout calling it noblesse obligeâ⬠(535). ââ¬Å"Emily is exempted from general indictment because she is a real lady-that is, eccentric, slightly crazy, obsolete, a ââ¬Å"stubborn and coquettish decayâ⬠, absurd but indulged; ââ¬Å"dear, inescapable, impervious, tranquil, and perverseâ⬠; indeed, anything and everything but human. (561). Who would believe she would have murdered someone in order to have their love. ââ¬Å"A Rose for Emilyâ⬠is taken from a morbidly crepitated point of view where an author obviously is hiding many deep dark secrets within his past without bluntly coming out and exposing it to the rest of society. Faulkner disguises his own tragedies from his past t hrough the story to give himself a sense of personal release from his own personal bondage. ââ¬Å"A Rose for Emilyâ⬠is utilized as a clever way for William Faulkner to disguise his own slide from sanity.

Cell Membranes Of Proteins And Proteins Essay - 1707 Words
CHAPTER ONE INTRODUCTION Cell membranes of eukaryotes are complex structures, comprised of a highly regulated heterologous distribution of lipids and proteins (Hanada, 2010). This distribution is determined to some extent by the location and topology of lipid synthases, and results from the trafficking of proteins and lipids (Hanada, 2010). Within the cell, transport vesicles and tubules mediate trafficking by loading desired sets of proteins at one organelle and delivering them to the subsequent (Hanada, 2010; Kumagai et al., 2005). Lipid influx routes such as the endocytosis of membrane lipids add further to the diversity (Hanada, 2010). The result is an asymmetric distribution of protein and lipid types across the membrane bilayer (Hanada, 2010). Ceramides are an example of a family of cellular lipids (Yasuda et al., 2001). Ceramides are synthesised at the endoplasmic reticulum from precursor compounds and are transported to the Golgi apparatus for conversion into one of the several sphingolipids (Yasuda et al., 2001). The transport of such compounds is highly selective if not specific (Kumagai et al., 2005; Yasuda et al., 2001). Inhibiting transport is a useful tool in investigating the role of substrates (Yasuda et al., 2001) and makes an attractive target for biochemical manipulation of the cell (Ueno et al., 2001). Intracellular trafficking of ceramides is highly regulated. Two ceramide transport pathways have been identified (Kumagai et al., 2005). The first isShow MoreRelatedCell Membranes Of Proteins And Proteins Essay2060 Words à |à 9 PagesChapter One - Introduction Cell membranes of eukaryotes are complex in structure, comprised of a highly regulated heterologous distribution of lipids and proteins (Hanada, 2010). Theory Critique: Cloud and Townsend B. J. Liberty University Theory Critique: Cloud and Townsend Summary Dr. Cloud and Dr. Townsend (1999) have created a comprehensive work titled Boundaries in Marriage. In this book they have outlined what boundaries are and what can be done to create healthy boundaries within a marriage. First, letââ¬â¢s look at the definition of boundaries. Cloud Townsend (1999) define this as ââ¬Å"a property lineâ⬠(p. 17). In other words in a marriage it is a set of rules that a person sets for themselves so that they can control their emotions; this is also known as ownership. A person must find that ownership within themselves to avoid trying to control or put blame on the other person; thisâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦This list is just basically an example of what kinds of conflict a marriage can face; however, there are also strategies that the Bible discuses repeatedly and are ones to be followed to help a person create a healthy bond between a couple. The six strategies are: observation of the conflict; confrontation of the problem being o pen and honest; having ownership, grief, and apology of the conflict; repentance of the sin that has been committed; being active in the process for necessary change; and reexamination of the conflict, marriage, and boundaries (Cloud Townsend, 1999). Evaluation of the Strengths and Weaknesses In reading the work by Cloud Townsend (1999) I found no real weaknesses but only strengths on how to improve a personââ¬â¢s marriage. Boundaries in Marriage are not only for the couples that are experiencing current problems; but for the newlyweds, more seasoned couples, and for the ones who are not yet married. Regardless of the persons situation being able to learn what boundaries are and why they are needed is an important part of a healthy marriage. Role of Nature and Nurture in Language Development
How do both nature and nurture interact in the promotion of language development in young children? The debate between many researchers is the argument of whether nature or nurture play a more important role in development. In this essay I will be looking into both aspects of nature and nurture focusing specifically on their influence towards language development in children. A main controversial question I will be looking into is the question of whether are we born already equipped with mechanisms which help us to learn language, or is language learned throughout a childââ¬â¢s environment by, for example, imitation and repetition? Studies done by some opposing researchers claim to show that nature and nurture promote language developmentâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Although Jim did learn speech it became noticeably odd to others around him as he had developed his own, unique grammatical characteristics and his poor articulation meant he didnââ¬â¢t acquire normal language skills (Sachs et al 1981). Bruner suggests that this was due to lack of social interaction in his learn ing of speech, which again highlights the importance of nurture in promoting a childââ¬â¢s language development. However, it can be argued with (Bruner 1964) that social interaction doesnââ¬â¢t explain all the complexities of language acquisition. Almost every day the language we hear is often incorrect, poorly defined, incomplete and full of hesitations, mispronunciations and other errors, and yet despite this we still learn to talk following the correct grammatical rules. Again this indicates the idea of Chomskyââ¬â¢s (1968) LAD model that children are born ââ¬Ëhard-wiredââ¬â¢ with the innate knowledge of linguistic rules and so these rules help the baby make estimations and presumptions about the language it is hearing. From these estimations and presumption the child can work out grammatical sets of rules and when more language is exposed to them, the more their language develops. Even within Chomskyââ¬â¢s (1968) LAD theory, undoubtedly he believed the role and promotion of the ââ¬Ënatureââ¬â¢ aspect is the core foundation on which language can develop. But his theory a lso requires the role of nurtureShow MoreRelatedWhat Roles Do Nature And Nurture Play On Children s Language Development?1054 Words à |à 5 PagesWhat roles do nature and nurture play in childrenââ¬â¢s language development? Humans always look for someone to talk to or share their problems with, and if you can listen more to your customers, you will end up knotting the bond between the customer and your business. I think one of the strongest strategies that are important would be to build a strong brand identity. Make it easy for your customers to identify your business or products in the midst of the crowd. Create a winning slogan, tagged with a catchy logo and a unique theme. Most importantly, make a specific promise and deliver on that promise. One of my favorites is to reward loyal customers as a strategy. This is a point that can never be over emphasized, because most businesses go after new customers while forgetting that the existing customers need to be taken care of. Introducing a loyalty program is a very effective relationship marketing strategy. Creating long lasting relationships helps to ensure long-lasting customers and repeat sales. Nothing strengthens a bond more than appreciation, and thanking customers for sticking to your brand will go a long way to make them know they are important. A simple thank you package might be all your business needs to connect personally with your existing customers. Customers want to know that they are valued and appreciated as an individual. Security and Usability of E-Commerce Websites
Question: Describe about the Security and Usability of E-Commerce Websites? Answer: Abstract Nowadays the availability of internet has revolutionized the global world immensely. In todays modern society people uses modern facilities and e-commerce to buy their everyday household products. Everything from clothes, groceries, foods, cosmetics are available in the online market, and it will be served to the desired customer just in a click of a button. However, the success of an e-commerce business is based on satisfying and catering the needs of its customers. The major success story of this e-commerce websites lies in building a trustable and honest relationship with its most precious and lovable stakeholders that is the customers and consumer base. The e-Commerce websites are making daily experiments provide and satisfy the definite needs of their customers and bringing up various changes and modifications in their e-commerce platform to attract more customers daily. In the recent timeline, the e-commerce policymakers are emphasizing in giving a more strategic outlook to the ir e-commerce platform and websites. This strategy includes the implication of usability and security factors. One of the key accomplishments of an e-commerce website is in improving and improvising the usability of e-commerce platform by considering users preferences. User preferences can be explained as a combinational feeling and attitudes of users for the interface and functional design of the ecommerce platform. This influences users decision and behaviour. Considering the users preferences within an e-commerce platform enhances users satisfaction and increases users loyalty to the platform. The other aspect of installing the faith and trust within the customer is by installing a sense of security and incognito feeling to avoid the fear of online theft and cheat. Besides, the e-Commerce websites are also provided the assurance of safety, security and protections by amending various changes in the IT online market. This factor is also increasing the number of enthusiastic custom ers in the global arena of online e-Commerce arena. The growing number of customers and other related factors like commerce growth and prosperity seeks proper management of this e-commerce websites. They need to handle the matter more sensitively and seriously and need to fill up every loophole within their system. Besides, the business of this e-commerce websites stands and relies heavily on customer satisfaction and feedbacks. The e-commerce websites need to improvise and make their security measurements and usability intense. This will not only help their business development but also install cyber ethics and values within the global market of consumerism. Introduction Creating a safe and secure software program is a multifaceted and time-consuming procedure that seeks to harbour repeated challenging factors, such as functionality, scalability, clarity, productivity, etc. Software engineering analysis has lately focused on modernizing and improving the modelling capabilities considering the non-functional supplies such as steadiness, performance fault lenience, and safety. In this paper, we have focused on various security issues and usability of e-commerce websites. Methods and techniques to integrate security problems in software blueprint have already been constructed (Hartanoet al. 2014). However, there is one vital facet of the design of complex and composite secure systems, which has always been ignored by various well-known e-commerce organizations. Recent studies in the field of Human Computer Interactions in Security representthat security processes that do not work in field practice and application are not effectual. Most of the research in e-commerce security program and usability emphasizes on supplying better and improved user interfaces (UIs), but it is evident that usability troubles with secure systems are more than just UIs and requires relevance of various related factors and design methodology (Kamoun and Halaweh, 2012). However, secure systems do not subsist in emptiness; they survive for giving people and human race with different facilities and utilities. This process cannot function without the participation of people (the customers and consumers). In security, the focal point tends to focus on those unwanted people who want to mistreat the system (hackers and attackers). This is to the harm the ordinary and regular users, who play as a significant fraction in shielding it. Any secure system is a socio-technical system, and the necessities, scrutiny, and design process must consider this. Most countermeasures need the participation of public at some stage (Schumacher et al. 2013). Users can have significantly varying levels of understanding, experience, comprehension and expertise. Designing a system that suitably assists these contradictory levels of ability and aptitude, it requiresbasic training procedure if the countermeasures are to so reliable. Therefore, the design and the improvement of a secure software system need the addition of yet another vital requirement: usability. This supplementary requirement launches an additional layer of complexity in the development process. The main aim and objective of this project work are to discuss the potential security concern and usability in an e-commerce website (Konradtet al. 2012). In addition, at the same time, this paper focuses on various factors that could enhance and install improvement to these important factors. Literature review The popularity of an e-Commerce website is based on its usability and security factors. Maintaining a top-notch security provides customer loyalty and trust. Most of the famous e-commerce sites use latest technologies to deliver clients with top-notch safety and assurance. These techniques include the incorporation of SSL (Secure socket layer) to provide a secure HTTP (HTTPS) by encrypting the data transferred (Bansal, Sethi and Kataria, 2015). Moreover, the user needs to be fully aware of the fact that their data is protected before conducting an online purchase from any ecommerce website (Hartono et al. 2013). Various other methodologies like Digital signatures, Digital certificates, Cryptography, Anti-virus implementation, IDS integrated firewall implementation, use of Cisco router, proper log reporting, default ports changing, proper monitoring and analysis, updating software patches, host monitoring and implementing authentication protocols are conducted to provide security to t he customers (Fulton et al. 2013). Nowadays every e-commerce websites are concentrating more on providing proper usability to its clients. The interfaces within the web pages are made very simple and user-friendly so that everyone can use it without any difficulty (Distanteet al. 2014). The main purpose of this usability factor is to provide better experiences to customers to satisfy and cater their needs. Various e-Commerce websites are conducting studies on criteria, element, traits, matrices, attribute and characteristics of a user (Grigeraet al. 2013). Based on these factors the e-Commerce is building their web page platforms in the recent timeline. Various e-commerce companies and websites are accelerating fast and coming up with new security strategies for its customers. Recently, eBay introduced a security key device for its clients and users. This key fob randomly generates a six-digit unique security code that frequently changes within a time span of 30 seconds (Taveau, Nahari and Ebay Inc. 2014). This is a mode of the authentication procedure, which cannot be breached by any hackers. Another leading name in the global e-commerce market amazon.co.uk is also focused on enhancing its security in the global e-commerce sector (Balduzziet al. 2012). They are currently following a Safe Harbor Framework to protect the privacy and the security of its customers. This SH Framework supports strong encryption methodology to provide standard security features to its customers (Connolly, 2013). Moreover, amazon.co.uk has adopted the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology that is provided by VeriSign to provide its customers with eternal se curity back up. The SSL service providers encrypt the data and deliver the message (information) to the host when a customer enters his/her credit card details (Soghoian and Stamm, 2012). This encryption procedure is followed by various other online securities amazon.co.uk have secured its online transaction system (Ismail, 2015). Moreover, the other online security services followed by amazon.co.uk are digital certificates in web server, SSL encryption, public key cryptography and access control list (ACL). Apart from eBay and amazon.co.uk other e-Companies like Argos, Next.co.uk, and Tesco are emphasizing more on increasing the customer security of its websites. Currently, Argos is providing its customers with Secured code for Visa and Master Card for providing online payment security to the customers (Siwach, 2014). Argos Company has undergone a partnership program with the various Master card and Visa card providers and coordinately produced various credit cards with unique and concrete code numbers. This code numbers acts like an online PIN number for use on Argos.co.uk website. This process provides the customers with great security and privacy (Dwivediet al. 2013). Adding to this, the SSL protocol and encryption of customer data is also performed in the online e-Commerce website of Argos. Even other online UK based e-Commerce companies like Next.co.uk and Tesco follow a robust protocol for providing safety and security to its customers. This safety and security measurement include s SSL servers, digital signature, encryption, cryptography, anti-virus implementation, firewall application and proper monitoring system (Zhang et al. 2012). All these above mentioned companies like eBay, amazon.co.uk, Argos, Next.co.uk, and Tesco follows a standard guideline in maintaining a usability design for its e-Commerce websites respectively. Firstly, they all keep their navigation simple, understandable and functional for the users. The menu sections of this websites are simplified to seven to eight headers (Oyomnoet al. 2013). They incorporate trendy and fun words to indicate a particular part considering the ease of use. Secondly, they all stick to known symbols in their navigation option to make the shopping experience of the customer more intuitive and user-friendly (Hasan, Morris and Probets, 2013). Thirdly, they keenly follow a small check out procedure. They made their log out process simple by only installing a go back or forward option. However, a simple checkout error is mandatory to indicate a proper and hassle-free checking out procedure. They followed this principle and made their checkout error messages simple, to t he point and understanding for the common users (Sivaji et al. 2011). Adding to this, they always focus on limiting down the loading process of the website, as it sometimes frustrates a customer and user. Most of the customers are not from a patient breed of class and to provide every customer depending on their mood and demand the website should be adored with fewer animations to increase the loading time. The last but the most important factor that all these online e-Commerce sites follow is that they made a automated search feature on their websites (Alrobaiet al. 2013). This would help the customers to search the exact product that they are looking for the website and would present it in front of their screen. Some of the e-Commerce websites due to their poor management and security policy have become victims of the security breach. Among these companies, Target.com has dealt with 70 million violations in the recent timeline. Some of the other online e-Commerce websites that has conferred immense loss and sacrificed the customer security are AOL.com, Play.com, CDuniverse.com, and SalesGate.com. In a recent project, a credit card thief with the false name Maxus stole more than 370,000 credit card numbers from the online music store by the name of CDuniverse.com. On the other hand, Play.com which is a leading online retailer in the United Kingdom has revealed that some unknown hackers have breached their data and more than 1,0000 customers those ethical hackers have leaked email addresses and other data (Tihanyiet al. 2015). Moreover, the clients who are anday to day user of this e-Commerce website has confirmed about receiving some spam and phishing emails from various unknown sources. Simi lar incidents had happened to the user of the AOL.com Mail user, and they claimed about some spam and phishing messages. Later, in the year 2014, the director of AOL Company has confirmed about the security breach of their company and asked their customers to change their password as a preventive measure. Some 520,000 users who have a mail account in AOL.com have complained about a possible hack of their email (Davis, 2015). The reason for this security breach inside this website is believed to have happened due to various legit reasons. Firstly, these e-commerce sites are very poorly maintained and are loaded with malware and Trojan. The second reason that contributes to the hacking idea is an insecure system configuration for using an un-patched technology. However, SalesGate.com, AOL showed a probable breaching due to poor network security. This lack of network security can happen due to various reasons (Turban et al. 2015). These websites namely Target.com, AOL.com, CDuniverse.com, Play.com, and SalesGate.com lack the SSL layer potential, and the network points like POS terminal, and third party vendor links loT-based devices, etc. were not adequately shielded and protected. These e-Commerce companies have lacked in utilizing the proper tools to monitor the data packages and DNS transactions. All this mismanagement and callousness among the website developers and website technicians of these companie s has resulted in breaching data and information (Zafar, Ko and Osei, 2012). However, the primary target of a corporation should be providing satisfaction to the customers. It is found that only satisfied customers have the tendency to return and shop from the same company. Therefore, e-Commerce service providers should also concentrate on satisfying their customers. It is easy to reach ordinary people through online services and promote marketing; however, it is found that there are very few e-commerce service providers who are thriving in the market without facing loss. The main reason behind the popularity of few e-commerce service providers (such as e-bay, amazon.com, etc.) is the customer satisfaction. Most of the successful e-commerce service providers introduced cart system to help the client to choose their own budget and shop accordingly (Fang et al. 2014). It is observed that most of the customers prefer credit card transaction to pay for their shopping; therefore the e-commerce service providers are concentrating on introducinga security proof onli ne credit card transaction system as well as alternative payment systems (like virtual money transaction etc.) to boost the customer satisfaction. The e-commerce service providers are also providing added policies such as providing an extra discount for using only credit cards to attract more people (Zhang, Zeng and He, 2012). Also, they are also giving quick search methods so that the customers can enter their requirements and find results within seconds with a large variety, which will be helpful to attract more customers. The customers love surfing for products, however sometimes could not buy them due to several reasons. For this reasons, e-commerce service providers are adding an extra wish list interface feature, which will be helpful to save the chosen product in the cart so that the customers can buy those products whenever they want. On the other hand, an addition of special features can also make an e-commerce business attractive but the customers need something more than simple features. This extra' thing is security. Customers who are paying through online always need to make sure that their transaction is completely secure, and their account details are out of the reach of hackers (Luo, Ba and Zhang, 2012). Therefore, the e-commerce service providers are building up their website with SSL data encryption framework to ensure the website security. It is observed that when the websites of e-commerce service providers show SSL certificate seals on the homepage, it automatically provides the cust omers and installs an instant trust factor (Lee and Kozar, 2012). Moreover, this up stage is giving customers the confidence to rely on those websites as they are ensuring the customers with the confidence of their personal data and information are safety before purchasing any item in that e-commerce website. Furthermore, the e-commerce service providers need to strengthen their security to a larger extent to influence more customers to purchase through them with more safety protocol. It is observed that anyone with technology, capability and opportunity can have the potentiality to cause a security breach (Huang and Benyoucef, 2013). Therefore, the e-commerce service providers need to consider the prevention steps against unauthorized modifications of data from that particular site and take care of the authentication of the data source. Besides, they also need to take care of the confidentiality and privacy of the customers. It is found there are many viruses, which can easily break the security systems provided by the e-commerce service providers, such as Trojans, Worms, Viruses, malicious ActiveX, etc (Ajakaiye and Krause, 2011). However, discussing the pros and cons of various e-commerce websites by critically evaluating the security and usability factor we have missed out the viewpoints of a customer satisfaction. The usability and security of an e-commerce site install faith and trust in the mind of its consumers and clients. The user interface of the websites acts as a channel through which customers get in touch with the e-service provider. There are various factors to install satisfaction among the customers and users following the B2C protocol (Hartanoet al. 2014). Several factors that establish faith trust and customer satisfaction are achieved by providing the customer with proper design interface. This convenient interface includes information design, navigation design, and visual design. Adding to this, quality of service and product also increases the satisfaction level of the customers and consumers. This includes the idea of providing the customers with proper information about a product describ ing every characteristic feature of it like colour, weight, height, etc. All these factors contribute to a better understanding between the two stakeholders (e-Company and the consumer).Adding to this, the security factor also installs faith and trust on the mind of the customers which is critical in increasing the customer base of the e-Commerce company online (Fischer, Halibozek and Walters, 2012). However, certain factors hamper the integrity of an e-commerce website that implicates several security issues like identity theft, credit card fraud, virus and DoS attacks, etc. Research Methodologies The present chapter of the research paper describes the different kinds of research process and research approach with the analyst accepted and rejected in the operations of the research paper. The present research paper based on different kinds of website usability and different kinds of security issues which majority of the buyers faces in the process of purchase and sales. The present research paper is based on the analyzing an E commerce website, about its features, application and different mode of transactions which this particular company adopts in the operations of the business (Abrishami and Peivandi, 2012). The selected website is Amazon.com. Amazon is one of the most popular and common American E commerce website, which mainly operates its business in different kinds of online transactions. In the present research paper, the investigator has used different kinds of research methodologies in order to complete the investigation procedure with appropriate information (Ushakov and Arkhipov, 2014). The most challenging jobs for the investigator is to complete the investigation procedure on time and to select the appropriate research methodology in order to complete the investigation procedure (Brambilla, Tokuda and Tolksdorf, 2012). Research approach, research designs and research philosophies are the three main research parameters, which the investigator adopts in the proceedings of the investigation procedure. The three kinds of research philosophies are positivism, realism and interpretism. Based on the requirements of the investigation procedure the analyst decides whether to choose the research philosophies. The three kinds of research philosophies have different kinds of utilities. In the present research paper, the investigator has used the concept of the positivism research philosophies (Anner, 2012). Positivism research philosophy allows the investigator to support the investigation procedure with real facts and materials with scientific approaches, which already exists in the universe. Inductive research approach and deductive research approach are the two kinds of research approach (Safko, 2012). The most important jobs of the investigator is choose whether to use inductive method of research approach and inductive method of research approach. In the present research approach, the analyst has used the concept of deductive research approach in order to organization the investigatio n procedure based on different issues E Commerce websites (Bredeson, 2012). With the help of the deductive method of research approach, the investigator will be able to develop the investigation procedure with relevant hypothesis. The investigator in the present research paper will be able to develop a proper research hypothesis with the application of deductive research approach (Shang, Zhang and Chen, 2012). There are three kinds of research designs, which the investigator adopts in the proceeding of the investigation procedure (Vincent and Agbola, 2012). Explanatory research design, exploratory research design and descriptive research design are the three research designs, which the analyst adopts in the research operations. In the present research paper on issues of different commercial websites, the analyst has used exploratory research work (Vincent and Agbola, 2012). Moreover, with the application of the explanatory research design the investigator in the present research pap er on E commerce website stability and securities will be able to focus on real facts and findings (Collins, 2012). Explanatory research design contributes in attempting to build a connection between two different variables that the research topic consists so that the research problem can be solved. This part of the study will cover the data finding procedure of the research paper. Primary data finding procedure and the secondary method of data finding procedure are the two accepted data finding procedure, which all the analyst uses in the research work. In the present research paper on issues of e commerce website the researcher used two source of data collecting procedure. The investigator has decided to use a mixed source of data analysis procedure. The two source of data analysis procedure in the investigation process are the primary source of analysis procedure and the secondary source of data analysis procedure (Eiselt and Sandblom, 2012). The primary source of data collection will provide useful data in collecting first hand data and on the other hand, the secondary data will be very much useful in collecting data from second hand source (Popping, 2012). The investigator divides the primary source of data collection into two parts. One is the quantitative part and on the other hand, is the qualitative part. However based on the requirements of the research work on issues of commercial websites the investigator mainly focused on the application of the quantitative data collection procedure. The researcher interrogated 12 people in the qualitative part of the data analysis procedure (Brambilla, Tokuda and Tolksdorf, 2012). The questionnaire, which was prepared by the investigator, consists of 10 questions based on the requirements on the investigation procedure on E commerce website with its stability and securities. Image of Snap Deal Image of Spyder Image of Ebay Image of Tesco Image of Amazon Data sampling method is also an important part of the analyzing procedure. The investigator used both probability method and non-probability method of sampling. Nearly, 12 people were interrogated in the quantitative part of the data analysis procedure (Greene, 2011). Researcher has undertaken different research methodologies for qualitative data collection (Vincent and Agbola, 2012). By maintaining the ethical constipation of the investigator procedure mainly the Data Protection Act and maintaining the confidentiality of the investigation, the investigator has organized the present research study. There are several research methodologies, but at the end, the investigator has decided to use positivism research philosophy in order to support the operations of the research work with real facts and findings (Hannes and Lockwood, 2012). The investigator has rejected other two research philosophies by accepting positivism research philosophy. On the other hand, the investigator has decided to use the deductive method of research approach by eliminating the inductive method of research approach (Vincent and Agbola, 2012). Finally, the investigator has decided to use the explanatory research work in the operations of the research work, eliminating explanatory design and descriptive research designs (Liu, 2012). Chapter 3: Findings and Critical Discussions This part of the study, mainly focus on the data analyzing procedure. The investigator has decided to focus mainly on quantitative data analysis procedure. The investigator keeping in mind the requirements of the investigation procedure prepared 10 questions. All the questions were prepared by analyzing different gaps in the literature review.
